Ever heard the phrase, “Money is the root of all evil?” The truth is that money – just like a pen or other object – is neither good nor evil. Money is simply an extension of the person using it. Money is a tool. If you respect it and use it properly, you’ll have positive results. If you disrespect it and misuse it, you’ll have negative results.
Maybe you grew up in a house where you heard messages like, “Rich people are evil and greedy.” “Money is the root of all evil.” “Blessed are the poor.” (FYI, the actual verses read: “The love of money is the root of all evil.” and “Blessed are the poor in spirit (the humble).”)
The truth is that money doesn’t have any morals, only human have morals. I could use my pen to write a love letter or hate mail. Either way, it doesn’t make the pen good or evil. It’s the intent of the person using the pen. Money magnifies the good or evil in the person using it. Until you settle this issue that money is NOT evil, you will never be financially healthy.
